Prince Van Fanel and childhood best friend Merle, from "THE GREATEST ANIME SERIES EVER!!!" known as ESCAFLOWNE. It maybe be 12 years old, but the story, animation, and characters still outshines the a lot of the more recent stuff.

yep it is though the film is good in it's alternate universe way and then thers the manga which was just well, odd....

thats awsome I did think there friendship was neat. Proberly similar to one I have myself. I like the anime because it actually has an ending. colours are awsome and you drew them in that style the artist did.

It was a great friendship...looking back on how Merle would rag on Hitomi, she was seemed to be doing the "little sister looking out for her brother" routine.

I have a huge folder with all my original character designs... good for drawing my chars alot younger and also good copyright back up.
